The imaginatively titled Co-op of the Damned is a new horror/comedy web series from writer/director/producer Ned Ehrbar exploring what would happen if an ordinary apartment building just so happened to house several different horror movie cliches – from murderous slasher villains to malicious spirits – within its walls. Each of the first four weekly episodes – released every Monday in October – will focus on a different unit whose tenants suffer from their very own horror movie problems. Check out the official series synopsis below:
“Co-op of the Damned” is a web series about roommates from hell. This new horror/comedy series takes horror genre conventions and clichés and gives them their own living spaces with obnoxious “real world” roommates. Each episode explores a different apartment (complete with a different supernatural tenant) and the complex, dysfunctional relationship it has with its human counterpart. A disembodied voice that has always told people to “get out” finally lets someone in; a machete-wielding maniac meets his match when one girl refuses to seal the deal; and a mischievous ghoul fueled by fear messes with the wrong stressed-out yuppie. And you thought your roommates were bad!
Episodes 1 through 4 premiere each Monday in October 2010, with more episodes expected in early 2011.
You can check out the first two episodes on the series’ official website right now at Coopofthedamned.com/, and check back for future episodes as they become available!
