It’s no secret that Swedish films have been taking the world by storm as of late (Let The Right One In, Millennium trilogy), and apparently a couple of its countrymen have their eyes on Screen Gems’ ‘Underworld’ franchise. Negotiations have begun with the Swedish directing team Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein to helm Underworld 4, with a script by comic book scribe J. Michael Straczynski. No word on the exact plot as of yet, but Seline (Kate Beckinsale) will be back and passing the torch to her daughter, who has yet to be cast. The directing duo last released Shelter, a supernatural thriller starring Julianne Moore and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, about a forensic psychiatrist who discovers that all of one of her patient’s multiple personalities are murder victims. Check out the trailer for the film beyond the break, which has yet to be released stateside.
