It’s been 25 years to the day since Slayer‘s classic album Reign In Blood hit store shelves. A mixture of heavy metal, punk, and thrash metal, this album would go on to become a classic, dare I say even achieving legendary status. While Metallica had already released Master Of Puppets earlier that year, comparing the two albums is like trying to compare apples to oranges, Mila Kunis to Audrey Hepburn, The Shining to A Nightmare On Elm Street. What Slayer brought to the table was an album so fierce and violent, they were compared to Nazis and dubbed racists. Talk about being hardcore, right?
