Well, The Bronx Now Has ‘Anthrax Day’
One of the “Big Four”, Anthrax have been rocking for three decades and have amassed a wealth of awards, gold and platinum albums, and the respect and admiration of metal generations. The Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. also sees the band, three of whom were born and raised in The Bronx, as coming home and wants to celebrate that in the best way possible. So he decided to do this by announcing that starting Wednesday, Sept. 14th will now be known as ‘Anthrax Day’ in The Bronx.

Said Borough President Diaz, “These heavy metal legends grew up right here in our borough, and I am proud to welcome Anthrax back to their Bronx home.”
