After reporting on Screen Gems’ lame looking PG-13 The Roommate, it’s refreshing to report to you that the MPAA has given Summit Entertainment’s Drive Angry 3D an R-rating for “Strong brutal violence throughout, grisly images, some graphic sexual content, nudity and pervasive language.” Reteaming My Bloody Valentine director Patrick Lussier with writer Todd Farmer, the story centers on a man (Nicolas Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway. Amber Heard also stars.
