OMFG of the Day: Do Aliens ‘Exist’?
We were pretty pumped for Skyline until we learned that the real budget for the indie was allegedly masked by the earlier work the Strause brothers did on Columbia Pictures’ Battle: Los Angeles. Even most of District 9‘s visual effects were alleged early works for Universal’s Halo adaptation. In short, I’d like to see a true indie alien invasion movie. One that costs under a million dollars (for realz).
This morning we stumbled across a well-made, yet vague teaser trailer, along with an incredibly creeptastic poster for Ninety One Pictures’ short film Exist, which stars Curtis SImmons and Alain Singaye as two men who accidentally stand in the middle of the world’s first encounter with extraterrestrial life.
Written and directed by Tyson Johnston, inside you’ll find not only the teaser and poster, but also a VFX reel that shows some of the work being done. Join me in saying OMFG?
