TV: Eloise Mumford the First Headed Down ‘The River’

“Lone Star” actress Eloise Mumford continues her TV career down ABC’s “The River” as she’s the first to land a role in the horror drama from Paranormal Activity writer-director Oren Peli.

House of Wax/Orphan/Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra was recently attached to direct the pilot.

As previously reported, it’s described as being in the mold of Paranormal Activity, and centers on a family who travels to the deep Amazon to locate and rescue their missing father. Peli co-wrote the first draft with Paranormal Activity 2 scribe Michael Perry. “Heroes” veteran and “Kings” creator Michael Green then did a p.1 rewrite.
