SXSW ’11: Anchor Bay Pays Big for ‘The Divide’

After an intense world premiere, the hyper relevant The Divide (watch 3 clips) has gone to Anchor Bay in a low seven figure deal.

Michael Biehn, Milo Ventimiglia, Lauren German, Rosanna Arquette, Michael Eklund and Courtney B. Vance star in the story of what happens after eight people take refuge in the underground bunker a 9/11 survivor has built beneath their apartment building after a cataclysmic bomb wrecks New York.

Xavier Gens (Frontiers) directed the screenplay by Karl Mueller and Eron Sheean.

Watch for our exclusive interview with Gens and a review in the coming week. I implore you to keep your eyes peeled for a release date as the movie is pretty effin’ awesome.
