I was crazy excited to see John Landis’ horror comedy Burke & Hare, a comedic take on the true story of the 1828 Edinburgh body-snatchers William Burke (Simon Pegg) and William Hare (Andy Serkis). BD’s David Harley caught a screening of the flick and unfortunately has some disheartening news.
“ ‘Burke & Hare’ is poorly constructed and painfully unfunny, underutilizing Pegg and depending on funny faces to carry the entire film.”
