In a question and answer session ove rat Moviehole, editor-in-chief Clint Morris revealed that’s he’s been privy to a of behind-the-scenes chatter for Twentieth Century Fox’s Prometheus, the rumored prequel to Ridley Scott’s Alien that’s now filming for release in 2012.
During his rant, he drops the bomb that a sequel to the original quadrilogy is planned:
“…the “Alien” series will continue – in another form. I don’t know much, but I’ve heard whispers that sequels (to the original quadrilogy – Ripley’s story) might be back on the cards; the whole `Alien Planet’ idea is still very much something everyone over at Fox and Scott Free are interested in. You ain’t see[n] the last of Facehugger.”
He also goes into depth about what’s he’s heard about Prometheus, including that if the studio likes the film, they could possibly retitle it to Alien: Prometheus. Click the link above for the full response.
