A film that went under all of our radars is The Incident, which was originally announced as Incident at Sans Asylum.
The pic quietly went into production with French director Alexandre Courtes at the helm and Rupert Evans (Hellboy), Kenny Doughty and Unax Ugalde all starring.
Courtes’ directorial debut “turns on three rock band members who work in a high-security asylum — until a freak storm blows the asylum’s security system, unleashing its criminal patients and trapping the rockers.”
Courtes is a graphic designer and musicvid director with Daft Punk, U2 and Kasabian.
Being sold out of Cannes, the sales agent told Variety last month that they’re “aiming for an upscale, distinctive genre movie, like ‘The Descent’ or ‘REC.’ ” It is now in post-production.
