The international branch of Dreamworks has released a quartet of character posters for Fright Night 3D, their forthcoming remake of Tom Holland’s classic that arrives here in the States on August 19 (UK on September 2).
First, the one sheets look like a cross between a “True Blood” promotion and something MTV would release surrounding “Teen Wolf.” Second, does anybody give a lick that Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Toni Collette or David Tennant star? Basically the images say nothing about the movie, and look more like cheesy collector’s cards from 1989 that came with a stale stick of gum than something professional.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, “Charlie Brewster (Yelchin) is a high school senior who’s on top of the world–that is until Jerry (Farrell) moves in next door and Charlie discovers that he is a vampire preying on the neighborhood.”
