Mary-Louise Parker (“Weeds”) is in negotiations to round out the cast of Universal’s R.I.P.D., reports Variety.
The pic already stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Stephanie Szostak.
Robert Schwentke is directing the pic, based on the graphic novel series by Peter Lenkov.
“The original story was about a cop killed in the line of duty who is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department. He then tries to find the man who murdered him.”
Parker would play the woman overseeing the division who explains to Reynolds’ character what has happened when he dies.
