Timothy Spall Will Play Alfred Hitchcock in ‘The Girl’

Timothy Spall – the creepy town head in Wake Wood – will portray the iconic Alfred Hitchcock in the BBC production of The Girl.

The biopic is also looking to cast the stunning January Jones (“Mad Men,” X-Men) as Tippi Hedren in the biopic that could lens as early as this year.

The film, penned by Gwenyth Hughes, follows the life and relationship of Alfred Hitchcock and his discovery of Tippi Hedren (originally played by Melanie Daniels) and the turmoil that surrounded them while making The Birds (1963), and how his ultimate failure ended up destroying both their careers.
