MTV has finalized the cast for the third installment of its original horror movie franchise, My Super Psycho Sweet 16 Part 3, and it will officially announce the cast and the movie’s start of production in Atlanta, Ga. on Monday.
The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Awkward’s Jillian Rose Reed is among the new cast members joining the franchise’s original stars, Lauren McKnight and Kirsten Prout. Ryan Sypek, Niko Pepaj, Ben Winchell, Onira Tares and Autumn Dial will round out the movie’s cast.
“In Part 3, Skye (McKnight) and Sienna (Reed) are on the road to their first year of college in New York City when they receive a call from Skye’s estranged sister, Alex (Prout). They decide to pay Alex a visit and find out that her Sweet 16 is that very evening. And, you can imagine what that means… teen bloodshed.”
Produced by Pop Films, the creative team behind the first two movies returns for the third installment, as well. They include director Jacob Gentry, screenwriters Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, executive producers Maggie Malina and Alexander Motlagh, and co-producer Chris White.
