Confirmed: Kwanten and Smart for ‘7500’, More Casting Takes Off!

Back on October 26 we exclusively broke the news on some potential casting for CBS Films’ 7500, a new high flying thriller to be directed by Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge).

It was confirmed today that both Ryan Kwanten (“True Blood,” Dead Silence, The Knights of Badassdom) and Amy Smart (Mirrors, The Butterfly Effect, Seventh Moon) have joined the cast, with Leslie Bibb (Meeting Evil, Trick ‘r Treat , Iron Man) also booking a flight. Pretty awesome cast thus far!

Kwanten and Smart will co-star as married couple Brad and Pia Martin, who board Vista Pacific Flight 7500 with their two longtime friends for a trip to Japan. Bibb is set to play Laura Baxter, a stewardess on the transpacific liner, who is involved in a complicated and secret relationship.

Written by Craig Rosenberg (“Lost”), 7500 reteams Shimizu with Grudge producer Taka Ichise who will produce alongside Roy Lee (The Ring, Godzilla). John Middleton and Tracy McGrath are serving as executive producers. Leslie Bibb
