eOne has inked a multi-territory deal, including U.S. rights, for Valeri Milev‘s Code Red, reports Variety.
The pic, which was being shopped by Outsider Pictures at the American Film Market earlier this month, has sold to the distrib for the U.S., Blighty, Canada, France, Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Scandinavia, South Africa and New Zealand.
“The story is about a female doctor struggling to find her daughter after a long lost World War II biological weapon explodes on a U.S. military base in Bulgaria, turning people into mutant zombies.”
Milev, who recently directed Re-Kill for After Dark Films, will helm the pic, which he says will present “a brand new type of zombie” for the screen. That’s what they all say…
The undead will begin lensing in March and is skedded to release in the fourth quarter of 2012.
