RCR and Trilogy Entertainment has now unveiled the first image and official Facebook for their deep sea horror film that takes place at the height of the Cold War.
Phantom, which is written and directed by Todd Robinson, begins when “a Soviet diesel-electric submarine attempts to launch a nuclear weapon at the United States Navy’s Pacific Fleet. In the end, one man stood between the apocalypse and the survival of mankind. But, in the indigo depths of the South Pacific, man and machine are not alone.”
William Fichtner (Drive Angry 3D), David Duchovny (“X-Files”) and Ed Harris (The Abyss, A History of Violence) star.
The film teases “someTHING” aboard their vessel. “When the captain of a Soviet nuclear submarine (Ed Harris) is forced to leave his wife and child to be rushed into a secret assignment, he finds himself haunted by the ghosts of his past. He is challenged by the leader of a Soviet Special Forces Team (David Duchovny), whose mission is cloaked in mystery. Faced with an impossible choice and the threat of a nuclear missile attack on the American Pacific fleet, the fate of humanity rests in his hands.”
