TV: Werewolf Pack Casting Up for ‘True Blood’
In a new brief, Kelly Overton (The Ring Two) and Louis Herthum (The Last Exorcism) have landed major recurring roles on the HBO vampire drama “True Blood”, says Deadline.
Overton has been booked for 6 episodes and Herthum has been tapped for 5. Deals for both include series regular options for next season. Overton will play a dirty, beautiful werewolf named Rikki who demands to know what’s become of the pack leader. Herthum will play a particularly large Marine-type werewolf who refuses to bow down before the new pack leader.
Mixing romance, suspense, mystery and humor, the Emmy-nominated show takes place at a time when vampires have come out of the coffin, and follows the on-and-off romance between waitress and part-faerie Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), who can hear people’s thoughts, and 173-year-old vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer). Anya Taylor-Joy fights the world in George Miller’s hotly anticipated Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, the upcoming prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road that’s coming next month.

Furiosa will release in theaters on May 24, 2024. The film will tell the origin story of the character Charlize Theron made famous in Fury Road, also directed by George Miller.
“As the world fell, young Furiosa is snatched from the Green Place of Many Mothers and falls into the hands of a great Biker Horde led by the Warlord Dementus. Sweeping through the Wasteland they come across the Citadel presided over by the Immortan Joe. While the two Tyrants war for dominance, Furiosa must survive many trials as she puts together the means to find her way home.”
Chris Hemsworth co-stars as Warlord Dementus.
“Whereas Fury Road essentially happened over three days and two nights, this happens over many years,” Miller had teased during a press conference last year.
Miller is co-writing and directing the movie for Warner Bros.
Back in 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road grossed nearly $400 million worldwide at the box office and won SIX Oscars, while also scoring rave reviews nearly across the entire board.
Last we heard, Miller also intends on making sequels centered on Tom Hardy‘s Mad Max.
