Ok, before you start rolling your eyes and making fun of the fact that there is another Exorcist movie coming just relax for a second. This movie, while it deals with exorcism is not apart of The Exorcist franchise. Instead is about the possession of an 18-year old German student who apparently dies during her exorcism. Apparently, the movie is also based on true events. Inside you can find all the evil information your possessed souls can handle.
The Hollywood Reporter reports,
Campbell Scott, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Jennifer Carpenter are joining the cast of Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment’s untitled exorcism project. Scott Derrickson is directing the horror thriller that was formerly known as The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel. The movie is based on true events involving the Catholic Church officially recognizing the demonic possession of an 18-year-old German college freshman. The young woman died during her exorcism, and a priest stood trial for causing her death. The script, written by Derrickson and Paul Harris Boardman, unfolds “Rashomon”-style, with different points of view recounting the events.
