After uploading over 1200 new images into our upcoming Bloody-Disgusting database, I’m ready to throw my computer out the window- and yet I’m holding back so I can add a new contest to kick off November (winners of the other two contests announced tomorrow night). This contest is our post-Halloween massacre from Lions Gate Home Entertainment. We’ve got 3 sets of 3 upcoming DVD’s from the good ol’ Lion. Find out inside how you can win a copy of Dead End (review), Ju-on (review, #2) and George Romero’s Martin…
All three movies Dead End, Ju-on: The Grudge and George Romero’s Martin come to DVD next Tuesday, November 9th- and all are pretty damn entertaining. But we aren’t all made of money and some of us even beg and grovel for candy on Halloween. Did your weekend suck? Here’s your chance to get something for having the worst Halloween ever. Besides E-mailing me your full name and mailing address- tell me why your Halloween sucked and you could win our post-Halloween goodie bag from Lions Gate Home Entertainment! Winners to be chosen November 9th.
From Director George A. Romero comes this dynamic Gothic original. Martin is a misunderstood young man who happens to be a vampire… maybe. The sun really just bothers his eyes a little, garlic and crosses have no effect on him and he has no fangs. He also doesn’t have any vampiric powers which makes acquiring blood an extremely harrowing experience for all involved.
A volunteer home care worker, Nishina Rika (Megumi Okina), enters the home of a bed-ridden patient and discovers a strange ghostly presence lurking behind a door sealed with duct tape. Her discovery unleashes a horrible evil which baffles police investigators, who find that a whole series of people have gone missing from this particular house. Further investigation leads to Izutni Toyama (Misa Uehara), a former detective who handled the case of a man who murdered his wife in the house, but whose son was never found. But when the angry “Ju-On” spirit of vengeance that has infected the house reaches beyond its boundaries, Rika realizes that the horror is spreading.
It’s Christmas Eve and, like every year, the Harringtons take a trip to their in-laws to celebrate the holidays. Taking an unfamiliar shortcut, Mr. Harrington makes the biggest mistake of his life, leading his family down a terror-filled road with no end.
