As part of their 2012 preview, Twentieth Century Fox has released the first action-packed shot from Timur Bekmambetov’s Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a 3D historical retelling starring Benjamin Walker as the 16th President of the United States. We’ve also reposted the awesome one-sheets, one of which features Honest Abe as the President, the other as a hunter of the night. Awesome stuff!
In theaters June 22, 2012, “the story revolves around the president’s quest to rid the world of vampires, presented as part of the conflict behind the Civil War.”
Anthony Mackie, Dominic Cooper, Rufus Sewell, Robin McLeavy, Robin McLeavy, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson and Alan Tudyk also star. “The film explores the secret life of our greatest president, and the untold history that shaped our nation. As a young boy, Abraham Lincoln witnesses the shocking death of his mother, leading him on a path to an ongoing war – and ultimately to the presidency – he chronicles in a hidden diary. The journal reveals the incredible story of a clandestine warrior who never stopped fighting for the country he led and the people he loved.”
