Old school 1976 Film Who Can Kill A Child? will be getting a Spanish language remake under the new title of Child’s Play under the direction of one-named helmer Makinov. And it’ll star Vinessa Shaw (3:10 To Yuma, The Hills Have Eyes (2006)
Per Screen Daily, “A promo is available for Child’s Play, a remake of the 1976 Spanish film Who Could Kill A Child? Vinessa Shaw stars as a pregnant woman whose remote island getaway is terrorised by possessed children. Makinov directs and Ebon Moss and Daniel Gimenez Cacho round out the key cast.”
You can expect Fox International to make a pitch for this next month at the European Film Market. Apparently Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal are producers on the film (both starred in Y Tu Mama Tambien). .
