‘Toolbox Murders’ and ‘Saw’ Get DVD Release Dates

Fangoria has learned that Lions Gate Home Entertainment has set video street dates for its pair of hardware-happy horror films. The box-office hit SAW (review #1, #2, #3, #4) will arrive February 15, 2005, and the DVD will include a widescreen transfer with Dolby 5.1 audio, a commentary by director/co-writer James Wan and star/co-writer Leigh Whannell, a music video for Fear Factory’s “Bite the Hand That Feeds” song, a featurette on the making of that video and trailers. Tobe Hooper’s TOOLBOX MURDERS (review), which has been slaying ‘em on the festival circuit, follows a month later on March 15; this film will also be given special-edition DVD treatment, but there’s no word yet on just what the features will be.”
