Michael Mann In Talks For Hard-Edged Thriller ‘The Big Stone Grid’

Published

on

Described as Seven meets Marathon Man, we thought it was appropriate to report on Michael Mann‘s potential new project.

From the mind of crime dramas such as Heat and Collateral, Mann is in talks to develop to direct The Big Stone Grid, a cop thriller that Sony Pictures bought as a spec script last year by S. Craig Zahler.

The script is a hard-edged thriller about two decorated detectives who uncover a terrifying extortion ring that operates within the secret underbelly of New York City.

The plan is for Mann to do a pass with the Zahler. We’ll make tis the last report on the film until we know for sure just what direction it goes in.
