Date Change Madness! Moving on Up- and Down
When horror movies first receive a release date, we all know it won’t stick- and this it usually ends up coming out months- if not years- later. Today the trend continues as some major movies get bumped back- with one surprisingly moving on up. Read on for the story…
Moving on Up:
- Tim Burton’s stop-animation film The Corpse Bride has been moved up from its original date of October 14th to a September 23rd date. The film features voices by Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Emily Watson, Albert Finney, Richard Grant, Joanna Lumley and Christopher Lee.
Moving Down:
- Sony Screen Gems’ The Cave has been bumped from it’s originally planned March 11th date for a later April 8th date. Bruce Hunt’s film revolves around a group of expert cave explorers who go for a deep sea ocean dive to explore a cave. While on the expedition, the cave collapses, leaving the team stranded. By the time they are discovered, they have all mysteriously mutated into primeval beings.
- Sony Screen Gems’ other big film, Underworld 2, has been bumped from its planned November 23rd date for a later December 9th date. Kate Beckinsale, Shane Brolly, Scott Speedman, Derek Jacobi, Bill Nighy and Michael Sheen are all set to star in Len Wiseman’s sequel.
