‘Child’s Play,’ The ‘Who Can Kill A Child?’ Remake, In Post-Production…

Screen Daily reports that Fox International Productions is hitting Cannes with Child’s Play – surely to be retiled when sold here in the States – the long-gestured remake of the 1976 Spanish thriller Who Can Kill A Child? that we exclusively reported on back in 2008 (it’s weird bragging now).

Apparently already in post-production from one-name director Makinov, “‘Child’s Play’ centers on a pregnant woman and her husband who are terrorized by possessed children while on vacation on a remote island.

Vinessa Shaw (Siren, Stag Night, The Hills Have Eyes), Ebon Moss and Daniel Gimenez Cacho star.

Gold Circle originally had the rights and was calling the film In the Playground.

Huh, a movie named Child’s Play that is actually a rip off of Children of the Corn. Weird.
