Would You Hire This Clown? Meet ‘Stitches’!

Fantastic Films and MPI Media Group (Hatchet II, Stakeland, The Innkeepers)’s horror comedy Stitches, directed by Conor McMahon, is nearly complete and heading off to Cannes. While we’ve already shown you a tease of the evil clown, our Cannes local, “Jimmy”, has sent us in a up front and center confrontation with ol’ Stitches!

McMahon is the writer-director of Disturbed, Dead Meat and the TV series “Zombie Bashers.” The cast includes Ross Noble and Tommy Knight of “Doctor Who” and “The Sarah Jane Adventures.”

The pic centers on Richard ”Stitches” Grindle, a jaded workaday kids’ birthday clown, whose one-liners are witty in a way that’s just not for kids. He falls victim to a fatal party mishahp at the hands of a group of particularly nasty children. Years later, the group of now teenagers attend a party at which Stitches is the uninvited guest of honor, returning to avenge his untimely death.
