‘Texas’ and ‘Friday’ Director Begins Casting ‘Backmask’

Gage Golightly (“Teen Wolf”) is set to star in the horror pic Backmask that Marcus Nispel (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, Conan) has been attached to direct for over a year now. Kirsten Helms penned the script that follows a group of teenagers who accidentally release an evil spirit that starts to possess them one by one

During a sex, drugs, and rock-fueled party, six small-town teenagers find an old vintage record and decide to play it backwards in order to listen for any subliminal/satanic messages. Lo and behold, a seemingly malevolent spirit quickly infiltrates the group, wreaking havoc as it moves from one body to another. Eventually, however, it’s revealed that the spirit in question is actually trying to convey a message….and that the real source of horror isn’t particularly paranormal, but rather something (or someone) much closer to home.

Shooting will take place early-June in Rhode Island. Terry Douglas, Paris Kasidokostas Latsis and Steven Schneider produce through 1821 Pictures and Voltage Pictures.

Mr.D, Gage Golightly (is that even her real name? LOL) has never been on TEEN WOLF. she’s been on RINGER, HEARTLAND and some kid shows. just sayin’.

Gage Golightly is in fact in Teen Wolf, but in season 2 that is. Not sure if she was in season 1. Love Marcus Nispel, so really looking forward to this.

oh, cool! i wonder what role she’s playing in season 2? how did you guys know she’s in the upcoming season? it’s not even listed on her IMDB page. either way, thanx for clarifying guys!

The idea seems classic(kinda like Evil Dead and Night of the Demons), but I dont care for Nispel’s style.

Terrible plot? Yes. Plot already being used in a high profile production, regardless of its terribleness? Yes. ….Lets film it! *throws confetti*
