Benjamin Walker (Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) has joined Henry Cavill (Superman: Man Of Steel) and Ziyi Zhang (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) in The Great Wall, to be directed by Ed Zwick (About Last Night, Blood Diamond). While the news of Walker’s casting comes hand in hand with the info that production on the film (to be shot in China and New Zealand) will be postponed due to weather, it also came with a new description of the film that may pique your interest.
“Set in 15th century China, The Great Wall is about British warriors who happen upon the hurried construction of the massive wall. As night falls, the warriors realize that the haste in building the wall isn’t just to keep out the Mongols — there is something inhuman and more dangerous.”
Reminds me a bit of the North wall in “Game Of Thrones”, but that’s not a bad thing. What do you think?
