Electro-rockers Blood On The Dance Floor have released a video for their track “Rise And Shine”, which comes off their latest album Evolution (iTunes). The video shows a bullied boy pushed over the edge who feels that violence is the only option left to him. Or does it? You can watch the video below.
While I’m not a fan of the song or the video (some of it looks downright silly), the message that is being sent here cannot be argued. If you read one of my previous articles, then you know that I was a victim of terrible bullying throughout most of my grade school years. So any video that tries to give hope to those who are constantly berated, trod upon, hated, reviled, mocked, etc… gets my approval. Violence is never the answer, be it towards others or towards yourself.
