Everyone has heard nightmarish stories about unweary travelers waking up in strange parts of the world with a stitch line across their stomach and a missing kidney. This is exactly the terrifying, seedy underworld that A.J. Lieberman explores in his new organ-stealing miniseries, Harvest. “Harvest” is set to debut on August 1st from Shadowline comics, and it follows the exploits of Dr. Ben Dane, who goes on a vengful organ harvesting rampage. Lieberman said about the series, “I had always wanted to do a really sick and twisted book and this world has always fascinated me, so it seemed like a good fit. Especially for the revenge aspect of the story, which ‘Harvest,’ at its heart, is.” After the jump you can check out a BD exclusive preview courtesy of your friends at Image Comics.

Human traffickers. Rogue medical teams. Yakuza run organ mills and a six year-old drug fiend. Welcome to Dr. Benjamin Dane’s nightmare. His only way out? Bring down the man who set him up by reclaiming organs already placed in some very powerful people. If Dexter, ER and 100 Bullets had a three-way and that mind blowing tryst somehow resulted in a kid, that kid would read HARVEST. Medical Grade Revenge.
