Pray For Emily With This Crazy Loud Motion Poster For ‘The Possession’

I haven’t seen The Possession yet, but I hear it’s actually really good. A few of my more discerning friends have seen it and reported back with largely positive things to say. Given that it’s supposed to be more intense, crazy and fun than your standard “exorcism” movie, this super loud and creepy motion poster from Fandango kinda makes sense.

Based on a true story, ‘The Possession’ is the terrifying story of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil. Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick) see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

Head inside to check it out! The Possession haunts theaters on August 31st.

Easily one of the best motion posters yet.

really? no offense but i think this poster is really lame. but to each his/her own.

  • awesome

  • I LOVE the premise behind this movie. I knew about the Dibbux Box before a movie was even in the makings and it scared the absolute FUCK out of me. The trailer was pretty decent, same with the poster, eh… I don’t know. It won’t be another The Devil Inside of me, but The Last Exorcism? We’ll see. I really hope this delivers but the delay in releases worries me as well as the PG-13 rating.

The Devil Inside and The Last Exorcism were terrible. Although, if I had to choose, I’d rather watch the latter again. Hopefully this one is good, but I’m not holding my breath. I love this motion poster. It’s awesome.

The movie looks like it could be cool, but of course there’s the whole pg13 thing, but I hate when possession movies are “based on a true story” because what it really means is that some poor child who had mental issues was made worse by religious idiots trying to perform an exorcism
