New ‘Resident Evil: Retribution’ Poster Proves “Evil Goes Global” All Over Again, This Time With Zombies

Sony Screen Gems’ forthcoming Resident Evil: Retribution, which is directed once again by Paul W.S. Anderson, is less than two months away and we’re starting to see an “ultimate saturation” point with the marketing materials. A few weeks back we showed you a one-sheet featuring Alice (Milla Jovovich) going global (at least that was the tagline). But now a new international poster has decided that the look from two weeks ago would go over better gussied up with some zombies. I’ve included both below the jump for comparison.

In theaters September 14, “The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, Alice (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

Jovovich, Sienna Guillory, Colin Salmon, Shawn Roberts, Boris Kodjoe, Michelle Rodriguez, Johann Urb, Oded Fehr, Kevin Durand and Li Bingbing all star. Check out the new poster inside!

I haven’t seen a Resident Evil movie since part 2. Are they worth watching?

they are ok – switch off your brain and enjoy mindless action and zombie splatter. Ignore fun boys – the producers do not care to adapt the storyline of the games anyway

i love these movies. they are mindless SUPER-fun action/horror movies. that being said, i really don’t care for this poster. i wasn’t in love with it initially but adding the zombies looks dumb. IMO. this franchise is so hit and miss when it comes to its posters. EXTINCTION had my favorite poster….

    that’s my fave.
