I’ve been waiting a long, long time for this; on Tuesday Dark Sky Films will release one of my favorite horror films of all time, Richard Attenborough’s Magic, which stars Anthony Hopkins, Ann-Margret, Burgess Meredith, Ed Lauter and E.J. André. In the 1978 film, Magician’s assistant Corky performs disastrously at his first solo appearance. He is given a ventriloquist dummy called Fats to improve his act and within a few years Corky is at the height of fame. However, Fats has developed a mind of his own and wants to control his master. Also added is a review for Maverick’s Mr. Hell, where a secret bioweapons lab invaded by mercenaries becomes a house of horrors when they encounter Mr. Hell, an ancient serial killer who takes souls by removing his victims eyes.
