Hammer’s ‘Don’t Answer The Phone’ Uncut!

Director Robert Hammer’s 1980 shocker Don’t Answer The Phone arrives on October 10th from BCI Eclipse in its original uncut edition, according to Davis DVD. Previously released by Rhino Home Video in a butchered 85-min cut, apparently from an edited-for-TV print of the film, the new disc will clock in at its full 94-min. length with all its nudity and graphic violence intact. Bonus materials will include “Answering the Phone” interview featurette with actor Nicholas Worth, a still gallery, trailers and Easter Eggs. The packaging itself will include a sound chip that triggers the sound of a ringing telephone. Retail will be $12.98.
