Weinstein’s ‘The Burning’ Coming to DVD?!

Michael Felsher of RedShirt Pictures just called in on DEADPIT Radio and had news regarding some upcoming projects including some extras included on the Monster Squad DVD and the status of the Night of the Creeps DVD, but did break some news on an upcoming 20th Anniversary of Hellraiser he’s working on for Anchor Bay (now called Starz Home Entertainment). Today he spilled the beans on a DVD release I’m sure you’ll freak over, read on for the skinny.

I’ve done three new interviews with Ashley Laurence, Andrew Robinson (first ever interview about Hellraiser) and Christopher Young (composer),” he tells Dead Pit, he also discusses another really interesting project, “I just got hired on a job which I can’t talk about (haha) but I’m interviewing Tom Savini for, its one of the films he did effects for a long time ago…of all the slasher films he did in the early 80’s its the only one still not on DVD.

Could he be talking about THE BURNING?!?!?! Let’s hope so!

In the 1981 film, which is one of the Weinstein’s first, a former summer camp caretaker, horribly burned from a prank gone wrong, lurks around an upstate New York summer camp bent on killing the teenagers responsible for his disfigurement.
