20th Century Fox Heads To R.L. Stine’s ‘Rotten School’

20th Century Fox has tapped Erica Rothschild to adapt R.L. Stine’s multi-tome juvenile fiction series “Rotten School, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Set at a zany boarding school, the story centers on class punk Bernie Bridges as he schemes against his teachers and rival students. The first book in the series was published in 2005 by HarperCollins. Fox also is teaming with Stine to bring his best-selling kids horror series Goosebumps to the big screen. Although the two series are aimed at the same audience, “Rotten School” contains more pranks and less scares than “Goosebumps.”
