Some “monster” news comes in this evening as CLOVERFIELD director Matt Reeves will write and direct the vampire tale Let the Right One In for Overture Films and Hammer Films. The project, a remake of Tomas Alfredson’s critically acclaimed Swedish film “Lat Den Ratte Komma In” based on a novel by Swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist, centers on a young boy who befriends a female neighbor who moves to town. Hammer acquired remake rights at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival. where the film won the Founders Award for narrative feature. Overture is planning to release the remake next year.
