Theatrical Trailer for Best-Worst Movie ‘Birdemic’ a Good Representation of What’s to Come

Published

on

There are good movies that are fun to watch, and then there are the bad ones that are equally as entertaining. James Nguyen’s Birdemic: Shock and Terror falls into the latter category. Before Severin was kind enough to acquire this microbudget indie, all my friends and myself would pass around a scratched DVD of the film with the orders, “You HAVE to see this.” It has the allure of the good ol’ days when we’d have that rare VHS copy of a movie that just wouldn’t ever get released. Only this time it’s 2010, and Severin is on the “inside” with all of us, and showing it by taking the film to theaters across the country. Will it catch on? Only time will tell. All that I know is that I can’t wait for this Saturday night when I celebrate my 30th birthday to Birdemic at the Silent Theater on Fairfax. There are only a few tix left, so grab ’em now and come join in on the fun hosted by Tim & Eric. Wow, way off track — the new trailer! Below you’ll find the brand new theatrical trailer that, while feels like when “South Park” goofs on an Adam Sandler movie, gives a pretty good representation of what you’re about to see. Why did the eagles and vultures attack? Find out Friday.Severin Films (severin-films.com/) today announced that Tim and Eric, creators and stars of Adult Swim sketch comedy show Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, will host the highly-anticipated world premiere of BIRDEMIC: SHOCK AND TERROR (www.birdemic.com), on February 27th at The Cinefamily in Los Angeles, California. Following the screening, Tim and Eric will lead a Q&A with writer/producer/director James Nguyen and stars Alan Bagh and Whitney Moore. Severin is working on transforming the theater into a temporary aviary with epic displays of BIRDEMIC special effects, props and costumes that will put the Smithsonian to shame. An EPK video for BIRDEMIC can be viewed at vimeo.com/9082600. Fans can connect with BIRDEMIC on Facebook (facebook.com/birdemic), Twitter (twitter.com/birdemic) and the Web (www.birdemic.com).
