Trailer Debut: It’s the Full Look at ‘Butterfinger the 13th’
Being released on October 13, inside you’ll now find the first full trailer for Butterfinger the 13th, actor Rob Lowe’s horror comedy based on the peanut buttery candy.
Based on the peanut butter chocolate bar, Butterfinger the 13th will be the first-ever film produced not by a major studio or filmmaker, but by one of America’s iconic candy brands. The comedy-horror will bring to life Butterfinger’s “Nobody’s Gonna Lay A Finger” tagline while warning fans that “You Can’t Scream With Your Mouth Full.” Butterfinger the 13th will take its audience on a perilous journey with the film’s hero, whose paranoia leads him to believe that someone wants to lay a finger… in more ways than one.
“Legend has it that following a mysterious fire years ago, several camp counselors mysteriously disappeared from the local summer camp, Camp Honey Badger. The case was never solved and as the years passed, the story became an urban legend used to discourage hormonal teen from venturing into the Lake. Today, Camp Honey Badger awaits a new group of summer campers. While preparing for the new arrivals, the camp counselors sit around the campfire, telling spooky stories. It’s here that we find that the legend is still very much alive… ”
After pulling in $28 million at the worldwide box office this month, director (and star) Dev Patel’s critically acclaimed action-thriller Monkey Man is now available to watch at home.

Monkey Man is currently 88% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with Bloody Disgusting’s head critic Meagan Navarro awarding the film 4.5/5 stars in her review out of SXSW back in March.
Meagan raves, “While the violence onscreen is palpable and painful, it’s not just the exquisite fight choreography and thrilling action set pieces that set Monkey Man apart but also its political consciousness, unique narrative structure, and myth-making scale.”

Inspired by the legend of Hanuman, Monkey Man stars Patel as Kid, an anonymous young man who ekes out a meager living in an underground fight club where, night after night, wearing a gorilla mask, he is beaten bloody by more popular fighters for cash. After years of suppressed rage, Kid discovers a way to infiltrate the enclave of the city’s sinister elite. As his childhood trauma boils over, his mysteriously scarred hands unleash an explosive campaign of retribution to settle the score with the men who took everything from him.
