We’re sad to report that fellow Chicagoan Michael Clarke Duncan has passed away, his fiance tells AP. He was 54.
Publicist Joy Fehily released a statement from Clarke’s fiancée, the Rev. Omarosa Manigault, saying the 54-year-old actor died Monday morning in a Los Angeles hospital after nearly two months of treatment following the July 13 heart attack, adds USA Today.
Duncan best known for his breakout role as John Coffey in The Green Mile, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award and a Golden Globe. He is also recognized for his appearances in famous motion pictures such as Armageddon, The Whole Nine Yards, Brother Bear, and Daredevil as well as voice acting such as Delgo. Source, Wiki.
He was also to star in Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller’s Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. Brittany Murphy was also featured in the 2005 adaptation and passed away before the sequel could go into production.
