[Premiere] Check Out The Music Video For Murder Construct’s “Red All Over”

When we bring it heavy, you better believe we bring it heavy! Bloody-Disgusting is excited to bring you the exclusive music video premiere for “Red All Over” from Murder Construct! The song comes from the band’s debut album Results, which came out last week via Relapse Records. The video, directed by Mitch Massie, can be seen below along with exclusive quotes.

Murder Construct is a veritable metal supergroup comprised of Travis Ryan (Cattle Decapitation), Leon del Muerte (ex-Exhumed, ex-D.I.S., ex-Intronaut, ex-Impaled, ex-Phobia), Kevin Fetus (Watch Me Burn, Fetus Eaters), Caleb Schneider (Bad Acid Trip) and Danny Walker (Intronaut, Exhumed, ex-Jesu, ex-Uphill Battle).

Make sure to pick up Results via iTunes or the Relapse webstore.

Leon Del Muerte (Guitar): “If only the minds behind the music were half as creative as the one behind the video… Still, we’ve been extremely fortunate to procure the talents of Mr. Massie while he’s still available to work with shlubs like ourselves. This video blows my mind every time I’ve watched it, and that’s probably getting into the tens of thousands of views at this point. Every time I see it, I find some new thread that I hadn’t noticed before. That’s pretty nuts considering the video is 2:09 long. Simultaneously terrifying and artful while being completely original. I haven’t seen a video this good since the last Mitch Massie video I saw, haha!

Travis Ryan (Vocals): “The barren desert that is metal music videos could learn a thing or two from Mitch Massie. That oasis up ahead of stagnation comprised of dilapidated warehouses, train tracks and weakly thought out storyline scenarios will only poison the metal video realm. Mitch Massie is a goddamned diamond in this wasteland. Our new video “Red All Over” is another great piece of art from one of video’s best kept secrets.

Mitch Massie (Director): “Every idea came from their amazing tune and badass album. Their music is concentrated power and violence (in my mind at least). The band name itself became the style of the video; the construction of murder -deconstructed. “Red All Over” became a character that was birthed by the blood of patriots and tyrants, perpetrators and victims. It’s really just the themes and brutality they have made musically but expressed visually. They did all the leg work while I just analyzed and interpreted. This video was done practically. I’m not an animator. It was all a matter of problem solving to get the specifics. The biggest problem to get around was that my camera mysteriously shattered when I was shooting their performance footage in LA, so I’m just happy I was able to complete this f*cker with a broken camera.

Humane clip - Jay Baruchel and Emily Hampshire

The daughter of horror master David Cronenberg, Caitlin Cronenberg, is making her own mark in the genre filmmaking space with Humane, a dark horror satire set in an overpopulated world with grim government sanctions. We’ve got a new exclusive clip that highlights the intense stakes for a family torn apart by the government’s euthanasia program.

Humane will first be arriving in theaters courtesy of IFC Films on April 26, 2024. The film later comes home to Shudder July 26.

The film is described as “a dystopian satire taking place over a single day, months after a global ecological collapse has forced world leaders to take extreme measures to reduce the earth’s population.”

“In a wealthy enclave, a recently retired newsman has invited his grown children to dinner to announce his intentions to enlist in the nation’s new euthanasia program. But when the father’s plan goes horribly awry, tensions flare and chaos erupts among his children.”

Jay Baruchel (This Is The End), Emily Hampshire (Schitt’s Creek), Peter Gallagher (Grace and Frankie), Sebastian Chacon (Emergency), Alanna Bale (Sort Of, Cardinal) and Sirena Gulamgaus (Transplant) will star in Caitlin Cronenberg’s Humane.

Watch the exclusive clip below, which sees ruthless older sibling Rachel York (Emily Hampshire) weighing her odds, both for survival and the family inheritance. With the family forced to make an unthinkable choice, the clip sets up the tense scenario and the film’s dark sense of humor.

“Caitlin has crafted a provocative directorial debut exuding a timeliness and evocative social critique that highlights one of the most assured and exciting new voices to contend with,” Scott Shooman, head of AMC Networks’ Film Group, said. “We are honored to distribute Caitlin’s first full-length feature for its theatrical release and presence on our streaming platform, Shudder.”

“With ‘Humane,’ Caitlin has delivered a wickedly smart, humorous and socially relevant thriller with exceptional performances from its outstanding cast,” added Emily Gotto, Shudder’s VP of global acquisitions & co-productions. “We can’t wait to share this chilling, prescient satire with Shudder members.”

Michael Sparaga wrote the script and also produces the movie.
