What an awful film. This had the potential to be good, but fell flat on its face like a 2 year old.

When this gets released in theaters, dont waste your time or money. Just wait to rent it.

I’m glad I’m not the only person who felt this way. It was laughably bad. Ti West, hang your head.

I actually enjoyed the movie, there were great and BAD segments. I personally enjoyed Amateur night, I thought it was fun and bloody with good execution. The other one, ’10-31-98′ was pretty good too, well done. I just hated the Lake segment, it was SOOO BAD. The main arc was just ‘been there done that’, i expected it to be the final bang of the movie and i was surprised it ended just before the last segment started. btw, who were the directors for every segment? All I know was Wingard’s.

Second “tape” was directed by Ti West. Ti directed the amazing House of the Devil.

        According here: http://horrorfanzine.com/vhs-trailer-and-synopsis/

Bruckner directed “Amateur Night”. And Radio Silence directed “10-31-98”. I guess I have 2 new fave directors.
I’m surprised Ti West did “second Honeymoon”, it was hmmmm… decent but I felt underwhelmed. And speaking of underwhelmed, Gleen McQuiad directed the god atrocious “Tuesday the 17th”, please ban him on BD. lol

I think Tuesday the 17th only existed to up the gore quotient and really drive home the “video nasties” vibe of the whole film. I dug the “bad tracking” technique used to hide the killer but yeah, this and the wrap-around were awful. Overall for an anthology, 4 awesome shorts out of 6 is pretty great. At the least, even the two bad ones weren’t boring. I still suggest checking this flick out. It’s way better than most crap of late.
