Atmospheric ‘Silent Hill: Revelation 3D’ Clip Stresses Dangerous Return

Silent-Hill-Revelation

Not being screened for critics, Open Road has released a new clip from Silent Hill: Revelation 3D, the Michael J. Bassett-directed sequel in theaters October 26. The footage warns that Heather (Adelaide Clemens) should not have returned to Silent Hill. It’s a pretty cool clip with some nice visual effects work.

Adelaide Clemens, Kit Harington, Sean Bean, Radha Mitchell, Deborah Kara Unger, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Malcolm McDowell all star in the sequel that’s based on the acclaimed survival horror video game franchise by KONAMI.

For years, Heather Mason and her father have been on the run, always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn’t fully understand. Now on the eve of her 18th birthday, plagued by terrifying nightmares and the disappearance of her father, Heather discovers she’s not who she thinks she is. The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.

I must admit, I was sceptical that they might go down the wrong path with this one for some reason, make it cheesy so to say. But, I find myself eagerly waiting for different clips to come so I can pretend I don’t want to see them. I really hope they succeed with this one in the franchise, they are definitely getting the vibes of these films mastered. The imagery looks brilliant, and as much as I don’t want to admit, this could work brilliantly in 3D.
