Sony Screen Gems’ Carrie stars Chloë Grace Moretz as the title character along with Julianne Moore as her overprotective mother Margaret. If you’ve seen the earlier film or read the book you know that Carrie is sent to her closet when Margaret has determined that she’s been bad, which is all too often. And now we have a B&W look at that closet.
In the film from director Kimberly Peirce and producer Kevin Misher, “A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.” Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of Carrie earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.
