A demo version of metalcore band Killswitch Engage‘s song entitled “No End In Sight” has leaked onto the internet, resulting in the band performing the track live. It is the first track to feature original KSE vocalist Jesse Leach on front vocals since he left the band after the release of 2002’s Alive Or Just Breathing (he did guest vocals on two tracks on 2004’s The End Of Heartache). The track is a rough demo and, according to Adam Dutkiewicz in an interview with Guitar World, “It’s actually the one tune that’s pretty different from the other stuff. Overall the rest of the album is a little faster, a little meaner, a little growlier — thrashy but with lots of clean parts. We’re going a little more extreme this time.” You can hear “No End In Sight” below.
The band is currently in the studio mixing their upcoming album with producer Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Exodus, Nevermore). The as-of-yet untitled album will be released sometime in early 2013 via Roadrunner Records.
Killswitch Engage will be performing Alive Or Just Breathing in its entirety on tour in a few weeks. Support will come from Shadows Fall and Acaro. Check here for all tour dates.
