Scream Factory’s Facebook page has revealed the “Super Six” – six huge horror titles coming to Blu-ray next year. Factory has been on fire revealing more releases than I can count on my two hands.

THE FOG (1980): John Carpenter’s seaside ghostly revenge flick with Adrienne Barbeau and Jamie Lee Curtis. New extras are in the works! First time on Blu-ray.
THE BURNING (1981): Summer camp. Garden shears. Tom Savini effects. Need we say more? First time on Blu-ray.
THE HOWLING (1981): Joe Dante’s ultimate werewolf pic with superb Rob Bottin effects. First time on Blu-ray.
LIFEFORCE (1985): Tobe Hooper’s space vampires and light-show extravaganza finally gets its first ever anamorphic widescreen presentation! First time on Blu-ray.
NIGHT OF THE COMET (1984): Shopping and zombies highlight this post-Doomsday cult classic. First time on Blu-ray.
DAY OF THE DEAD (1985): George Romero’s splattery undead classic gets a new collector’s edition with new extras.

Code Red has also revealed that the first Blu-ray 001 will be the director’s cut of the 1974 classic THE ELECTRIC CHAIR (97 min. cut) with special features & extras; Hosted by Maria Kanellis and TV’s MONSTER MAN Cleve Hall. They’ve also announced NAIL GUN MASSACRE (Blu-ray 002) with a brand new 2012 HD 1.78 transfer and a new 2012 HD fullframe boom mic cut and more dvd extras by original extra creator Loyd Cryer. And finally the biggest announcement is JUST BEFORE DAWN, and this time it’s nice and clean and in HD, as I spared no expense to do this one right from the original interneg.
