Book Excerpt Focuses On ‘Carrie’s’ Relationship With Her Mother

The official Facebook page for MGM’s Carrie remake shared the following excerpt from the e-book version of “The Shadow Exploded” by David R. Congress, with the caption “If only Margaret could have understood her daughter…” In addition, there’s another piece of the puzzle that sheds a bit more light on who Margaret White was…

In theaters March 15, “A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.” Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of Carrie earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

Alex Russell, Ansel Elgort, Gabriella Wilde, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday also star.

Quite happy that they are going this route this time around. I’m sure the production team & Kimberly Peirce know what they are dealing with. Has BD done a set report?
