The official Facebook page for MGM’s Carrie remake posted yet another viral, this time a library checkout from the White Commission Archives. This shows that Carrie had obviously been curious about her condition, says the site.

In theaters March 15, “A reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Chloë Grace Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Julianne Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.” Brian De Palma’s 1976 film version of Carrie earned Oscar nominations for stars Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie.

Alex Russell, Ansel Elgort, Gabriella Wilde, Judy Greer and Portia Doubleday also star.

    Not that I find this very interesting but I did notice the date as to when she checked this out; Jan of 2012. So this movie is based on a current time frame. Also, proms are usually held in May/April so her checking the book out gives her plenty of time to horn her skills before the big blow up, as opposed to the original movies time frame where she basically tries to understand it all just a week or so before the prom. Now that I think more about this, why would she be checking a book out in the year 2012? Wouldn’t she just look all this shit up on the internet?

    @Droolbear,

    I too thought about that, why would she be looking at it in january, when the prom is in may? Maybe she needs time to strengthen her powers? Also, the reason why it is a library card, is because her mother would never allow her to use the internet. She probably believes it’s a sin to use it. So, she turns to old fashioned books.
